This beautiful apartment (” Le Pied-à-Terre”) has recently been completely renovated, combining period features with all modern conveniences. The high ceilings with the old, exposed wooden beams, the interesting lighting, the antique furnishings, the wooden floors and the black and white marble in the bathrooms make it truly magical, giving you a true Parisian feeling.
It is located between two courtyards, on the second floor of an 17th century house in the heart of the Marais, making it very quiet and even allowing you to sleep with open windows.

This property is located in the heart of the Marais, the most vibrant arrondissement of Paris, in walking distance from many attractions like the Centre Pompidou, the Picasso Museum, Place de Voges and even Notre Dame. The neighbourhood boosts many nice restaurants/brasseries, organic stores, patisseries and the flat is only 5-10 minutes walk away from the famous covered food market “Les Enfants Rouges” were you can buy organic fruit and vegetables, lovely fish and great French cheese.
The closest Metro station is Arts-et-Metiers 5 minutes away from Pied-a-Terre and buses and Velibs (bicycles that can be rented daily or weekly and are a great way to explore Paris) are close by. However, given Le Pied-à-Terre’s central location you will most likely explore Paris on foot. The airports and the main train stations can easily be reached by public transport or by taxi and you will receive all information you need when you book the apartment. A manager will welcome you, show you around the property, give you the keys and provide you with valuable tips. He is of course available in case of emergency or for any questions you may have.
For guests who would like to come with a car, the nearest parking is located less than 150 meters from the flat and is called: “Parking Temple Alizés”. Should you wish to book in advance, you get discounts using this website – http://www.parkingsdeparis.com/

As I am a hobby cook, you will find in this American style, fully fitted kitchen virtually any tool you can think of. The kitchen top has a white Carrara marble work surface. When planing the kitchen I wanted to ensure that one can chat to your guests whilst preparing a gourmet meal! In fact, the dining room, which faces the open plan kitchen, has a lovely antique table and some of you will like sit there whilst others are cooking.

We love the sitting room. It is separated from the dining room/kitchen though antique wooden beams which you can also see on the ceiling. The room is very large and like the entire apartment is has high ceiling. It also has wooden floors, Persian rugs a mock fire place and two large windows with very nice curtains. The Designer sofa sits comfortably 4 people and additional seating is provided though 2 nice leather chairs. Like many other furnishings, with found the antique coffee table and the writing desk in the famous “Le Puces” antique market. The sitting room also has a flat screen TV, DVD player and stereo. On the walls you will find some very interesting art and antique objects.
Both bathrooms have black and white Carrara marble floors. The fixture and fittings are traditional 1940’s style and all the fittings are chrome. Chrome towel heaters and marble shelves and hair dryers are also in both bathrooms. The shower cabins are large and have rain shower heads. We worked very hard to ensure that the showers have high pressure and that they can be used both as the same time
As a child, I lived in Versailles and Paris was the city of my dreams. When I finally moved to Paris I loved exploring and savouring this wonderful and vibrant city. I always wanted to own a traditional Parisian apartment in the city centre.
My dream came true in 2004 when Stephan and I purchased this property whilst living in London. I enjoyed visiting Paris regularly and staying in our apartment.
We decided to renovate the property totally and to give other people the chance to share our passion for this incredible city. Having said that, I love the apartment so much and visit and stay in it myself as often as I can.
I have lived and worked in London for over 25 years. Having recently retired I have moved to Paris, making Pied a Terre my main home. It has been furnishing it to the highest possible standards and it truly feels like a typical Parisian home.
I also spend a lot of time in the South of France and during these periods we let the apartment.
Ivan, my partner takes care of all the bookings and Thierry, our manager who happens to live in the same building, will ensure that the apartment is spotless and that you are well taken care off.
